Emberfall Saga is a proper role-playing game squeezed onto a phone without feeling cramped. You build a small party, wander a crumbling kingdom, and fight in turn-based battles that reward reading the enemy instead of mashing attack. The writing has real personality, with side quests that sometimes hit harder than the main line.
We loved that companions remember your decisions. Snub someone early and they will bring it up hours later. Battles are tuned so you can play in short bursts, saving between fights, which suits mobile perfectly.
It asks for patience, and the opening is a little slow, but stick with it and Emberfall Saga becomes one of the richer indie RPGs on mobile.
